Pressure Treated decks

Pressure-treated lumber is the most utilized material used in deck construction. The main reason for this is the cost. It is significantly less expensive and more readily available than all other options. All deck framing regardless of the surfacing type is constructed with pressure-treated lumber. The chemicals and bonding process used in the pressure treatment significantly increases the lifespan of the lumber and its ability to withstand the deteriorating effects of water, insects, sun, and temperatures. Decks that are surfaced with pressure-treated wood need to be treated every few years to ensure the long-term integrity of all exposed surfaces.
